The HIX1800 Heat Index Monitor is a wall-mounted indoor display that measures temperature, relative humidity, and heat index simultaneously — showing the combined result as a large, bright red 2-inch LED readout visible from over 50 feet away. It helps employers, facility managers, coaches, and caregivers instantly see whether indoor conditions are safe or potentially dangerous for occupants.

Powered via a standard USB wall adaptor (included), the HIX1800 also supports an optional rechargeable battery for 3–5 days of cord-free use. A built-in audible alarm activates when heat index rises above or falls below your preset thresholds, and a 5 VDC alarm output lets you connect an external warning device — siren, strobe, bell — for larger spaces.

Alarm Behavior

The Alarm will sound for approximately 12 seconds every 12 minutes.  The LED will flash continuously while the unit is sensing the alarm conditions that have been entered.
